# Consent Dashboard & Analytics

> See how visitors respond to consent, compare performance over time, and filter down to the banner, country or domain that needs attention.

## Dashboard overview — see the key consent metrics

Start with the clearest operating picture: how many people visited, how many consented,
and how the consent rate changed against the previous period.

- **Compare visitors and consent volume.** Read audience reach and completed consent
  choices side by side.
- **Track consent rate by period.** See the current rate and whether performance
improved or declined from the comparable period.
- **Review websites and mobile apps.** Keep the dashboard experience appropriate to the
property and data source being measured.

## Performance trends — track consent trends over time

Consent and pageview charts reveal how behaviour changes through a campaign, product
launch, traffic spike or banner update.

- **Follow consent trends.** Follow consent activity through the selected period and
  spot meaningful changes.
- **Compare consent with pageviews.** Compare consent movement with site traffic
instead of reading choices in isolation.
- **Choose the reporting period.** Move between recent and longer reporting windows to
support daily checks and broader reviews.

## Segmentation — filter to find the cause

Use dashboard filters and breakdowns to move from a top-line result to the banner,
market, domain or device mix influencing it.

- **Filter by banner.** Compare individual consent experiences instead of blending
  every banner into one result.
- **Filter by country and domain.** Investigate geographic and website-level
  differences from the same dashboard.
- **Compare country and device breakdowns.** Add audience context to consent
performance and prioritise the next area to inspect.

## Consent records

Consent choices are stored with audit trails — including the choice made, consent type,
country and detected region — and can be exported as CSV.

CookieChimp processes a visitor's IP address to infer their location and select the
right banner, then stores only a masked IP value alongside the consent record, with a
randomly generated consent ID for audit lookup. Customers may optionally pass a
non-identifying user reference for their own lookups; CookieChimp does not use full IP
addresses to map consent records to people. See
https://cookiechimp.com/security for the full detail.

## Outcomes

- **Spot regressions earlier** — see meaningful changes before they become the norm.
- **Compare experiences fairly** — compare the right banners and audiences.
- **Prioritise improvements** — focus on the property or audience that needs attention.
