A clear record of the features, improvements, and fixes available across the CookieChimp platform.

Consent Log Exports Now Include the Website Domain

Exports provide clearer site context, while preference controls and domain matching work more consistently.

New

  • Domain in consent exports: Consent log CSV exports now include the website domain associated with each record, making multi-site analysis easier.

Improvements

  • Accessible preference controls: Visitors can operate consent toggles with Enter or Space, including in Safari, and screen readers receive a clearer label for reopening preferences.
  • Exact duration presets: Three- and six-month consent duration options now use exact 90- and 180-day values.

Fixes

  • Additional domain matching: Additional domains are normalised to lowercase when saved, avoiding mismatches caused only by letter casing.
  • Language designer layout: The banner language control is aligned consistently with the rest of the designer.

Consent Choices Now Save More Reliably

Saved preferences now reach connected services reliably, with clearer consent-log examples and local-currency pricing for new subscriptions only; existing subscriptions are unchanged.

New

  • Local-currency pricing: New subscriptions can use plan pricing and checkout in USD, GBP, or EUR, with a currency selector when upgrading. This applies only to new subscriptions; existing subscriptions are unchanged.
  • Consent log examples: Empty consent logs now show clearly labelled demonstration records and a sample visitor timeline, so you can see what a real record will contain.

Fixes

  • Save preferences: Choosing Save preferences now sends the updated consent event, so connected services receive the visitor's final selection.

More Reliable Google Consent Mode for Returning Visitors

Consent Mode now applies its default and saved states in the correct sequence, while translations and report access handle edge cases more clearly.

Improvements

  • Regional report plan access: Accounts without the full regional compliance report now see a limited preview and upgrade guidance instead of controls that are not included in their plan.

Fixes

  • Returning-visitor consent sequence: Google Consent Mode now sets the configured default first and then applies a returning visitor's saved choices when available.
  • Concurrent translations: Translation requests for the same source text and language can safely reuse the stored result instead of interrupting the translation workflow.

Control When the Consent Banner Appears

Developers can now delay the consent banner when needed, while scan matching and saved consent updates behave more precisely.

New

  • Banner visibility event: Listen for cc:beforeModalShow to prevent the initial consent banner from appearing and display it later through the CookieChimp browser API.

Improvements

  • Plan-aligned language limits: When an account moves to a plan with fewer language slots, available translations now adjust to the new allowance.
  • Plan-aligned consent retention: Accounts moving to the free plan now use the included three-month consent-retention setting automatically.

Fixes

  • Precise wildcard matching: Cookie and storage-item wildcard rules now match complete names, avoiding partial-name false positives in scan results.
  • Consent Mode event timing: Google Consent Mode sends default and returning-visitor updates in the correct order without repeating an unchanged saved state.

Filter Analytics by Banner, Country, and Domain

Analytics can now be filtered across three site dimensions, with expanded regional compliance coverage and clearer scan reports.

New

  • Analytics filters: Filter dashboard totals and charts by consent banner, visitor country, and website domain while retaining the selected date range.
  • India compliance coverage: The regional compliance report and regulation templates now include India's DPDPA requirements and country targeting.

Improvements

  • Bot traffic breakdown: Analytics can display automated traffic as a separate device type instead of grouping it into unknown devices.
  • Consistent scan ordering: Scan reports now show correctly configured vendors first and group results that need attention afterwards.

Fixes

  • Privacy policy checks: Regional compliance checks now recognise the privacy-policy link consistently across all supported jurisdictions.

Amazon Consent Signal Integration

CookieChimp can now keep Amazon advertising consent aligned with each visitor's marketing choice.

New

  • Amazon Consent Signal: Enable an integration that maps the visitor's marketing choice to Amazon advertising-storage and user-data consent signals.

Fixes

  • Invitations with connected sign-in: New team members who accept an invitation through connected sign-in now join the invited account and continue directly into it.

New Banners Reuse Your Existing Design

New consent banners can inherit the latest banner design, while account deletion better protects recent consent records.

Improvements

  • Reusable banner design: Creating a banner now copies the design settings from the account's most recently updated banner, including banners that are not currently enabled.
  • Recent consent safeguard: CookieChimp prevents an account from being deleted while it has consent activity from the previous 24 hours and explains when deletion can be retried.

Netherlands Compliance Coverage

The regional compliance report now evaluates Dutch requirements, and free accounts can invite a second team member.

New

  • Netherlands compliance coverage: Dutch Telecommunications Act and GDPR requirements now have dedicated regional evaluation, routing, and banner-template settings.
  • Team access on the free plan: Free accounts can now include up to two team members, with a clear upgrade prompt once the limit is reached.

Improvements

  • Clearer storage-item autofill: Cookie and storage-item forms now use the simpler Autofill label.

Create Banners from Regulation Templates

Build a pre-configured regional consent banner from a searchable regulation template, with new compliance coverage for Chile.

New

  • Regulation templates: Choose a searchable regulation template when creating a banner to prefill consent mode, required buttons, preference detail, consent duration, and geographic targeting.
  • Chile compliance coverage: The regional compliance report and regulation templates now include Chile's Law 21.719 requirements and country targeting.

Fixes

  • Returning-visitor consent mode: Google Consent Mode now restores a returning visitor's saved choices before dependent tracking events run.

New Sites Start in Their Chosen Language

Non-English sites now begin with translated default content, while language overrides and account onboarding behave more consistently.

New

  • Translated initial setup: Paid accounts created with a non-English default language now translate their initial banners, categories, services, and cookies as those records are created.

Improvements

  • Consistent language overrides: A valid language override now applies across both the banner and preference modal, with a safe fallback when the browser language is unavailable or invalid.
  • Email confirmation shortcuts: The confirmation screen links directly to recognised inboxes and offers common email-client options when a direct inbox link is unavailable.
  • Clearer account deletion rules: Accounts with an active subscription cannot be deleted until the subscription is cancelled, with an explanation shown in account settings.

Automatic Translation for Paid Plans

New paid accounts now enable automatic translation by default, with cleaner language changes and clearer initial banner styling.

Improvements

  • Automatic translation by default: New paid accounts automatically translate content when additional banner languages are added.
  • Cleaner default-language changes: When an additional language becomes the account's default, its redundant translation records are removed so the primary content remains the source of truth.
  • Updated banner defaults: Newly created banners use a compact box layout, wider actions, and clearer visual separation between primary and secondary buttons.

Clearer Translation and Profile Controls

Translation actions now use simpler labels, and incomplete profiles can be opened and completed without an error.

Improvements

  • Simpler translation labels: Banner, category, service, and storage-item translation actions now use the clearer Auto Translate label.

Fixes

  • Incomplete profiles: Profile settings now open normally when a full name is missing and require the name before saving.

Pending Team Invitations Are Easier to Find

Pending invitations now appear consistently across account views, and invitation emails and consent records handle more edge cases.

Improvements

  • Visible team invitations: A clear invitation banner now appears on both the account list and account detail pages, with a direct route to accept or decline.

Fixes

  • Reliable invitation emails: Team invitations remain readable and deliverable when the original inviter is no longer available.
  • Long browser identifiers: Unusually long browser details no longer prevent valid consent activity from being recorded.

Consent Records No Longer Duplicate During Navigation

Single-page websites no longer submit the same consent update more than once when the CookieChimp widget reloads during navigation.

Fixes

  • Duplicate consent updates: CookieChimp now registers one consent-update listener per page, preventing repeated records when single-page navigation reloads the widget.

More Reliable Widget API Loading

CookieChimp's browser API is now available earlier and behaves consistently on pages where no consent banner needs to appear.

Improvements

  • Earlier widget API access: CookieChimp's browser methods are attached before regional banner checks finish, so customer scripts can use the API consistently even when no banner is required for the visitor.
